A fix for a Battlefield 4 game running in the fullscreen mode collapsing to a window on Windows 10

There is a very annoying bug in many games running under Windows 10 on 4k HDR screens. But I have found a solution particulary for BF4.

After a game start in fullscreen mode, it blinks and collapses to a window. Nothing helps. Tried updating to the latest drivers and OS. Running Windows troubleshooters and manually configuring executable properties, parameters in Nvidia control panel and Windows settings.

In my case delete of the BF4 settings directory helped. The directory is located in C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\Documents\Battlefield 4\settings\ . Delete the directory and the game would recreate it with the default values during the next startup.
